4 years ago yesterday, to be exact, I had the experience of going to the Inauguration.

Waking up before the crack of dawn, racing to get to the lawn of the mall, managing to get there early enough to be in the front section of people without tickets…it was an awesome experience (in the literal sense of the word) that I’ll never forget.

Today, I had the chance to reminisce (as I watched from a friend’s couch, where it was much warmer than DC that cold morning). Politics aside, the ritual of the inauguration is inspirational. Walking around that day, taking pictures of a few of the nearly 2 million people that gathered. Here’s a few highlights.
